Healing Crystals For Beginners

Hello Friends!
Today we are going to jump right into the basics of crystals. 


First things first, what ARE crystals? 
Crystals are literal creations of the earth. All of the crystals I own and most of the crystals you'll find are naturally created from the earth and carry high vibrational frequencies that are often used for healing and meditation. 


 I am often approached with questions about the crystals I wear or the ones I keep on my desk at work. People generally want to know what they are and what they do, So here are a few basic crystals for beginners and what their properties are! 

Amethyst:

Increases nobility, Spiritual Awareness, Psychic abilities, Inner peace and healing of body, mind & soul. Meditation, Balance, and Communication. 

- Amethyst is a powerful and protective stone. It guards against psychic attack, by transmuting the negative energy into love and protecting the wearer from all types of harm, including electromagnetic stress and bad or ill wishes from others. Amethyst relieves stress and strain, balances mood swings and dispels anger, rage, fear, and anxiety, alleviates sadness and does away with all forms of negativity.  Amethyst sparks spiritual awareness and enhances psychic abilities.  It has strong healing and cleansing powers. Amethyst assists in remembering and understanding dreams.  It relieves insomnia and enhances spiritual wisdom.

Amethyst is a crystal of the Third Eye Chakra and the Crown Chakra and can be found in a variety of colors from a pink-to deep purple. 
Planet – Jupiter
Element – Air, Water

Rose Quartz:


Enhances unconditional love, Self-love, Caring, Kindness, Friendship,  Romantic love and Platonic love. 

- Rose Quartz is the universal stone of love. It helps with trust and harmony in relationships and friendships, encourages unconditional love of all sorts.
 Rose Quartz purifies and opens the heart at all levels. It is a calming stone that can help to comfort you in times of sadness 

Rose Quartz ia a crystal of the Heart Chakra and can be found in colors of a light to dark pink. 

Planet – Venus
Element – Earth, Water

Orange Calicte:
Enhances the mind, Happiness, Memory, Wisdom, Physic Abilities, Channeling, Higher Consciousness. 

- Orange Calcite is a powerful cleanser of energy. It connects the heart and the mind. It calms the mind, boosts memory and stimulates insight. It brings forth a prismatic energy which helps to clear and activate all the chakras. 

- Orange Calcite is a stone of the Sacral Chakra and can be found in blue, green, clear, orange, honey and red. 

Planet: Sun
Element: Fire


Black Obsidian:



Purification, Manifestation, Protection, Physic Abilities, Creativity.

- Black Obsidian is a stone made up of volcanic glass and increases protection and creativity. It increases self-control, and provides comfort and protection through change. It dispels negativity and unhappy thoughts. 

-Black Obsidian is a stone of the Base Chakra 

Other Obsidian stones include: Snowflake Obsidian, Mahogany Obsidian, and Golden Obsidian.

Planet: Pluto and Saturn
Element: Earth and Fire


These are a few of the crystals I would recommend for someone who is just starting out in the world of crystals!

    Great article! I've always been drawn to rose quartz. Where is the best place to purchase crystals?

      The best option is to always look into local businesses, there are 4 in my area and that's where I purchase all of my crystals. I also shop on Etsy but you have to be careful with online crystal shopping, one reputable seller on Etsy that I can vouch for is EnchantedWitchcraft. I hope this helps! Blessed be! - Michele

Healthy Snacks

Sometimes when you are in a pinch it can be a bit of a struggle to eat healthy. Sometimes you run out of produce when you are out and may have to settle for some packaged foods. There are some better options to reach for when you want to get a snack. There are definitely some good brands out there that I love getting for when I have a busy work day. Some of these snacks can be good for dipping in salsa or hummus, or any other dip. A lot of these snacks shown also have other flavors in that kind that are also really good to try out.
