Easy BBQ Jackfruit “pulled pork”

If you ever have a hankering for some BBQ, maybe to take to an end of
summer potluck, then here is the recipe for you. It tastes so much like the real thing,

without harming any animals and it’s so easy to make!

Ingredients:
2 cans of jackfruit in brine or water (20oz)
½ tp of cayenne, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika and chili powder
1 bottle Trader Joe’s Organic Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce and Marinade (19.5oz)
4 TB of avocado or safflower oil


  1. Empty jackfruit from can and rinse, then cut the off the dense core (then discard) and shred what is left.
  2. Add spices and ¼ cup of the BBQ sauce and let marinade in fridge for 1 hour
  3. Remove from fridge and put jackfruit into a skillet, add oil and saute for 30 minutes making sure to stir frequently.
  4. Add the rest of the BBQ sauce and then serve on your favorite vegan bread!
