Crystal Healing - Self Love

Image
So last week I made a blog post about essential oil wellness ( click here if you would like to read it ) and I had planned to make a post today about ways to use those essential oils. Sadly the entire post I had written up somehow got deleted from my computer so, out of frustration, I turned to my crystals and decided that sharing my go-to stones for self-love was the way to go this week! Below I have listed five stones I adore when it comes to different forms of self-love. I hope they can help you on your journey of self-love as well! Amethyst This crystal has so many amazing properties, but among them, it is said to bring not only emotional stability but also inner strength. With that comes a more positive self-image and building of one's self-confidence. Rose Quartz This crystal is one of unconditional love of every form, which is one of the most beautiful things about this crystal. It helps in purifying the heart and helps

Recipe!! Easy Raw Purple Potato Passion Recipe

Image
Easy Raw Purple Potato Passion         *From Jan’s Raw Kitchen Kreations* Does this recipe contain passion fruit? No, it does not, but the word expresses how I feel about raw purple potatoes and is indicative of the yumminess I experience whilst having it. Here is one really simple way to enjoy raw purple potatoes, which by the way, reminds me of cooked sweet potato as far as flavor goes. I made a snack out of this recipe and added my favorite greens, Purslane and some of my green sweet and tart sauce. I hope you give this dish a try. Servings 2 Persons 1 Cup Purple potatoes shredded or food processed to small pieces, peel first if desired. 2 Cups pure water, 1.5 – 3 Tsp Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). - Bragg brand. Vegan Ratatouille Recipe!

Image
Happy Tuesday everyone!! Today, I decided to talk about a recipe that doesn't actually need any alterations to it. That's right. It's Ratatouille! An all vegetable dish which is great to have hot or cold, or even in a soup. (I prefer the original way though; stewed). Some people do use Chicken Stock for this recipe. But, more often than not it's Vegetable Stock. -Maranda http://s13.favim.com/orig/160531/beautiful-food-food-greens-healthy-Favim.com-4363063.jpeg Makes 10 Servings! The Top 5 Mistakes that New Vegans Make

Image
As easy as it is to change to a Vegan diet, when transitioning to this way of eating (and of life) there are some things in my opinion that can keep you from being your best and make this shift more difficult for you. These are as follows: 1.        Eating a majority of vegan junk food 2.        Not getting the nutrition you need 3.        Consistently going back into old habits 4.        Expecting perfection right away 5.        Isolating yourself from your family and social circle These are easy pitfalls to fall into when newly transitioned into veganism, the first one is something that I struggle with myself. It is very easy when switching to veganism to switch out every meat and dairy meal with it’s vegan alternative. While this is fine at first, if not properly managed after the first couple months of time then it doesn’t lead to good health for you. This also applies to other vegan “junk” food like different processed snacks and sweets. There are cert

Vegan Eggplant Parmesan Sandwich Recipe

Image
Hi guys! Today I am going to share with you a brand spanking new recipe! The idea for this recipe hit me in the middle of the night. When I was growing up, one of my favorites was a chicken parmesan sandwich. Recently I have had a craving for something similar. I tried to find a cruelty free version, but I could not find one that was just right. What a better way to solve this problem than to create a recipe of my own! When I started creating this recipe, I wanted something that did not have super thick batter and that did not require me to have to buy a whole bunch of abnormal things. This recipe's ingredients are all things that I keep in my kitchen! The produce used in this can simply be grown in a garden. A few tips to help you make this recipe the best it can be! The first one is to make your own tomato sauce. If you are in a pinch or do not have much time it is easier to use store bought. I love the flavors that I can build up in a home made sauce

Health Tip ! What is a Colonic Treatment?

Image
What is a Colonic Treatment?              http://www.corehealing.us/colonics          As was discussed last week, our colon health is paramount to our total wellbeing. CLICK HERE if you missed that post. The colon, large intestine or bowel is located in the abdomen and forms the last part of our digestive tract. Our diet among other factors can affect our overall health. Colonics or colon irrigation/hydrotherapy can aid us in this regard. During a colon cleanse, large amounts of water — sometimes up to 16 gallons (about 60 liters) — and possibly other substances, such as herbs or coffee, are flushed through the colon. This is done using a tube that's inserted into the rectum. In some cases, smaller amounts of water are used and are left to sit in the colon for a short time before being removed. Proponents/promoters of colon cleansing believe that toxins from our gastrointestinal tract can cause a variety of health problems, such as arthritis, allergies, dise

3 Ingredient Chocolate Smoothie

Photos by Danielle With another college semester beginning, balancing the many tasks I have in life can be challenging while running from job to job every day and beginning graduate school this month. Having healthy meals during the semester does not have to be impossible or even difficult. This is a recipe that anybody can enjoy and put their own spin on. This recipe has a lot of nutrients including fiber, vitamin E, copper, magnesium, and manganese. I just use a few simple ingredients and this recipe is great for being on the go all of the time, like myself. This recipe is great for getting your energy going and it includes few ingredients, so it is easy to prepare. When I am constantly working and running around from eight in the morning to midnight most weekdays during the semester, I am putting in a long day of working on and off for 16 hours a day. Time can be a serious issue when you take on a lot of work. However, I wouldn't change it for the world beca
