The Easy "How To of Veganism"

Image
What is the equation for veganism? Is there one? Absolutely! So, not a Math problem? Well, it may be more of one than you think! I refer to the solution to many things as that of Veganism, the destruction of the environment, human health, animal life, the high incidents of PTSD found amongst factory farm employees to name a few. So, how do we become part of this Veganism solution? Let us have a look. . . 1.       Start slowly : Some people transition well with the ‘ cold turkey ‘ way of doing things, but statistics show that for long-term/sustainable lifestyle changes, the majority fare far better with gradual changes, that said, I highly recommend the ‘go at your pace’ approach, or simply ‘take it slowly’. What is most comfortable for you will work best for you. 2.       Fraternize with like eaters who have succeeded - Real life support : Food is often part of social events, and many new vegans feel is...

The Real and True Benefits of Raw Veganism

Image
Raw veganism as a Lifestyle is in my opinion the easiest and most simple to undertake as well as most beneficial. Here, I shall outline why. First, I will clarify that I am referring to a simple whole food, natural plant based, uncooked dietary intake with a 90 -95% fresh fruit and vegetable composition. Improved Health: Studies have shown a major reduction of occurrence in and reversal of all main diseases, from cancer to diabetes to heart disease to IBS, ADHD and more, with a raw vegan lifestyle over a specific period of time and often coupled with other known health promoting protocols. This is not only a healthy diet; it is a sustainable one as well. Many diseases of the modern day thought incurable are healed or at the least significantly reduced by simply eating this way. Hereditary diseases have been shown to have lowered to nil relevance in these cases also. Look out for the improved skin and digestion ! Reduction of Carbon Footprint – Environmentally Fr...

How To Stay Raw Vegan When Busy

Image
Most vegans ‘slip up‘ due to the lack of knowledge of how to effectively and efficiently maintain a healthy raw vegan lifestyle. As a Civil Engineer, projects not only take me away from home A LOT, they often take me out of town, living in the tropics can present its own set of challenges as well as advantages. These in mind, let me share some of the things I do to overcome a few of the hurdles I encounter whilst juggling various tasks and professional obligations. Fruits Are Always Available: Being in the Caribbean makes it that much easier to have access to in season, ripe, local fruits, these are often available anywhere from a nearby market or vendor set up on the sidewalk, even adjacent to restaurant locations. With time it is easy to know their source as well as to place orders with them for bulk produce. This is what I generally do, with local trustworthy farmers. Invest in a cooler: When on the move, it is paramount to take with you ...

Why I Recommend Far Infrared Saunas

Image
https://draxe.com/infrared-sauna/   What is a Far Infrared Sauna? A Far Infrared Sauna is a device which uses Far I nfrared wavelength R adiation rays in a closed space to initiate detoxification at a cellular level. As this takes place, the body perspires releasing toxins and allowing the body to get in balance and therefore go into healing mode. Each session can last from anywhere between 30 – 60 minutes. The skin is the body’s largest organ and functions as the third kidney of the anatomy. When the largest surface area of the body, the skin, starts releasing toxins through perspiration, one can only anticipate an effective means of cleansing to occur. Interesting to note, is the fact that many Swiss homes include a dry sauna and the very so called ‘common’ cold is far from common for the persons who make use of the facility. Now, similarly, persons who adopt a raw vegan diet reap simular immune system benefits; so why not enhance one's health even mor...

Health Tip ! What is a Colonic Treatment?

Image
What is a Colonic Treatment?              http://www.corehealing.us/colonics          As was discussed last week, our colon health is paramount to our total wellbeing. CLICK HERE if you missed that post. The colon, large intestine or bowel is located in the abdomen and forms the last part of our digestive tract. Our diet among other factors can affect our overall health. Colonics or colon irrigation/hydrotherapy can aid us in this regard. During a colon cleanse, large amounts of water — sometimes up to 16 gallons (about 60 liters) — and possibly other substances, such as herbs or coffee, are flushed through the colon. This is done using a tube that's inserted into the rectum. In some cases, smaller amounts of water are used and are left to sit in the colon for a short time before being removed. Proponents/promoters of colon cleansing believe that toxins from our gastrointestinal tract can ...

Incorporating Enemas  & Colonics Let us look into Enemas : And what is an enema? An enema is a method by which approximately 2L of pure water (filtered, distilled, Reverse Osmosis) is inserted to the colon through the rectum using a pipe/tube, and then expelled after a specific retention time. This step softens the stools and expels toxins or accumulated waste from the colon. The colon plays an important part in digestion. During digestion, there is the extraction of all the nutrients we need from our diet..The colon removes water from digested food to form feces.   Enemas are better known for cleansing the colon. It hel...

Why Do Raw Vegans Take B12 Supplements?

Image
Why Do Raw Vegans Take B12 Supplements? Aug.12,2017 B12, is a water soluble Vitamin needed by humans for the proper functioning of the central nervous system, brain, as well as the healthy production of  red blood cells, and DNA synthesis. All Persons, including those who consume meat, should be equally aware of their B12 levels, noting, however, that most meats are riddled with enough bacteria ( not always killed in cooking the meat for food) to perhaps generate enough supply of the vitamin to boost the eater' s levels. That stated, due note should be made of the fact that malabsorption is a very common issue, and, can affect raw vegans as well as meat eaters. Now, because B12 deficiency is such a grave scenario, all humans must pay keen attention to their levels, at all times. In the latter centuries, this has proven a bit more challenging for vegans and somewhat more for raw vegans. Deficiency can lead to the following : Weakness,  fatigue,...
