Ethical Gift Ideas for the Last Minute Gift Exchange

Image
Some of the best gifts I have ever given or been gifted are from some amazing ethical stores in the world. Some of the best things you can give a loved one come from the heart. This year for the holidays I wanted to leave less of an impact on the planet. I was inspired by the YouTuber Ellen Fisher. She has an amazing youtube channel and is just an amazing inspiration in general! Some of the things she suggested are as follows: second hand items, homemade gifts, nature found treasures, and experiences. However, if you do not have the time to make a gift, some of the stores she recommends are: 31 Bits , Earthling Beauty , In the Soul Shine , The Small Folk , and Goose Grease (an etsy shop)! Recipe! Grilled Artichokes with Hazelnut Romesco Sauce

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today the recipe I have chosen for this week is Grilled Artichokes with a Hazelnut Romesco Sauce.  The history I learned about the Romesco Sauce is that the fishermen in Spain created it in order to add flavor to their fish. It’s also good for celiac disease, heart disease, and diabetes. Down below I will have the recipe and the nutritional information.  You can use this for any time. But the sauce does need to rest overnight so some use it for special occasions. My classmate actually used it last Thanksgiving and it was fantastic.  If you guys have any special requests for recipes you’d like to see, feel free to comment them!  Enjoy! -Maranda- Grilled Artichokes with Hazelnut Romesco Sauce Recipes make: 10 portions Ingre...

I love being able to spend time with my family and spreading love and joy to everyone around me. This is my first holiday season eating a plant based diet. I have found myself spending a lot of my mental energy on the food part of the holiday. I have spent a lot of time thinking about what I want to bring and what everyone else is bringing. It is important to me that the holiday season is about spending time with family and not about what I am eating. This has been my goal for every family event since transitioning to a plant-based diet. So far it has worked out in my favor. Before I go into the tips I have to offer I wanted to talk about one thing. Part of the reason I have been so anxious for the holidays is because I have heard so many horror stories about holidays and family get together going disastrously because ...
